Xanthan Gum

In cosmetics and personal care products, xanthan gum functions as a binder, emulsion stabilizer, surfactant-emulsifying agent, and a viscosity increasing agent. It is most commonly used in oil-in-water emulsions to help stabilize the oil droplets against coalescence.
